Historical

The ranch was a tin mine in the 1800s and the adjacent hiking trail was an old railroad line. This is the best place to enjoy the area from the old gold mill next door, where you can still pan, to historic Hill City, which has captured the imagination of nationally-recognized artists and writers.

Mountain

In the evening, you will find out where the Black Hills got its name; the sky is so dark and clear that the stars seem to rain down on your cabin roof. During the day, these mountains transform into a world of hiking, biking, fishing and sightseeing at famous Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and beyond.

Nature

It's not difficult to spot wildlife here. The cabins circle an open meadow, where you're likely to see deer, wild turkey, and even an occasional elk. Each cabin was built to blend into its undisturbed surroundings, almost as if it were a part of the trees, rocks and hidden game trails.
