The entire Monument, Oregon area has been set aside as a wildlife refuge in order to protect the elk, badgers & black bears that call it home.

East Lake is known for being one of the finest and most historic fishing lakes in Oregon due to its deep weed beds and incredible hatches. Cast your line and you might just reel in a trophy Brown Trout, Kokanee, Rainbow Trout, or Atlantic salmon. East Lake is also home to great fly fishing.

East Lake is great for fishing, boating, and sailing. Bring your own boat, or rent one from the resort. You'll also find a soft gravel beach in front of the recreation area, which is a great spot to catch some rays and jump into the water for a refreshing dip. But beware! The water can be chilly!

East Lake Resort has a variety of accommodations that are sure to fit your specific needs. Their knotty pine cabins can sleep anywhere from 3 to 8 people and some have full kitchens. They also have smaller "Camping Rooms" available, along with an RV park and tent sites if you prefer to rough it.
