Located between Sunriver and La Pine, DiamondStone is at the doorstep to Newberry National Volcanic Monument, adjacent to Quail Run Golf Course, only minutes to Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, and a short jaunt to Crater Lake. Natural wonders and recreational opportunities abound, with weeks of fun things to do and see. River access, an event center and motorcycle rentals onsite. With four seasons, the setting is open meadows, pines and quaking aspens at 4250' elevation. Personalizing your vacation is what this small business does best. Please call our helpful staff to discuss your needs.

Family

DiamondStone Guest Lodges are a great family escape. Once immersed in the Cascade Wilderness you'll never want to return. There's just so much to see and do. The three combined facilities sleep up to 30 people. Discover natural beauty, learn about history, geology, natural sciences, even astronomy! Exploration, celebrations and relaxation, return refreshed, with memories to cherish.

Golf

DiamondStone is adjacent to the 18-hole Quail Run Golf Course. A non-resort course, play through open meadows and pines while enjoying local wildlife like deer or elk! Highly rated and competitive, it is one of the least expensive courses in Central Oregon. They keep prices low to entice golfers from Bend and Redmond.

Reunions

DiamondStone's Homestead Lodge is a great small group facility, perfect for family reunions. The custom five-bedroom, four and a half bathroom vacation home features two full kitchens, two great rooms, and two dining areas. All bedrooms have private baths. You can also rent the two-bedroom log cabin across the street and/or the 3-Bed/2-Bath B&B next door to accommodate even more people. It is half way between La Pine and Sunriver, with easy access to Bend, 25 minutes north.

Wedding

DiamondStone's B&B has a 3.5 acre facility that works well for small outdoor weddings with 50-60 guests max. It's a natural lawn, best for shorts and sandals with kids running around. The Homestead also has an indoor space with spectacular soaring ceilings and second story forest views, The "Treetop Suite" is perfect for small weddings or reception parties (has a kitchen). It works for groups of 15-30.

Nature

DiamondStone Guest Lodges are surrounded by Deschutes National Forest and Newberry Volcanic National Monument. You'll be surrounded by nothing but natural beauty. Just 15 minutes north is the Sunriver Nature Center with live animals and good teachers. Next to that is the Sunriver Observatory with six to ten telescopes, and charming teachers to tell you what you're viewing. Hot springs and waterfalls are less than 30 minutes away. Oregon's treasure, Crater Lake, is just over an hour drive. No traffic or streetlights, enjoy the breeze in the trees and see the Milky Way. Go hiking, canoeing, river rafting, river swimming or just relax.

Fishing

DiamondStone has the nearest lodging to Newberry National Monument other than the rustic lake cabins themselves. Paulina Lake is just 20 minutes, and held the record for largest German Brown Trout (15 pounds!) in 2010. Fall River is a fly-fisherman's paradise, just 30 minutes from your front door. And Cascade Lakes Highway is just a half hour to great fishing at dozens of gorgeous lakes with Cascade Mountain views - Elk Lake, Cultus Lake, Wickiup Reservoir, Twin Lakes, or little Hosmer Lake to name a few.

Romantic

The perfect romantic getaway awaits for you and your sweetheart at DiamondStone Guest Lodges. This Oregon destination offers a range of charming vacation homes to choose from, each with a variety of amenities for a memorable vacation. Enjoy the forested and open meadow views. Explore the Cascade's mountain rivers and lakes for hiking, fishing, swimming, or skiing/snowboarding adventures!

Ski/Snowboard

World-Class Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is just a half hour drive, on paved, plowed roads. They have snow-making equipment now to make the season longer and the slopes fresh and speedy. Cross-country skiing is heavenly at peaceful Newberry National Monument right across the highway. Edison Snow Park and the Bachelor Nordic Center have groomed trails.

Pet Friendly

Don't leave your four-legged family members behind! All of DiamondStone's Guest Lodges are pet-friendly for a reasonable $12/night/dog. Way cheaper than a kennel. The friendly staff at DiamondStone likes to travel with their pet, so they understand you wanting to do so as well. Stay at the B&B and your pooch will have a corgi playmate if you like.

Mountain

DiamondStone Guest Lodges are surrounded by Deschutes National Forest and Newberry Volcanic National Monument. There is so much to explore - ice caves, volcanic geologic features like Fort Rock and Crack In The Ground. Bachelor is near, with a Nordic center for cross-country skiers too!

Historical

The High Desert Museum is less than a 30-minute drive from DiamondStone. One of the finest museums in the Northwest, they teach Native American and Oregon Trail history, and also have wild animal exhibits with mammals and birds of prey. It is so large that you can't see it all in a day; they give you a two-day pass.

Honeymoon

DiamondStone's Maluhia Log Cabin feels magical. You'll never forget it's Polynesian touches amid the private forested five acres. The outdoor hot tub under the stars is the perfect spot to enjoy a starry night. There are a dozen fine dining restaurants only 10 minutes away in Sunriver; no need to go to Bend. Come discover romance in the Cascades and start your life together at DiamondStone.

Cabins, Cottages, and Chalets

DiamondStone mini-resort offers four vacation homes. For a unique stay, try the Maluhia Log Cabin. Maluhia means "peace" in Hawaiian.
