Highland Center at Crawford Notch is as much of an outdoor experience as it is an indoor getaway. Surrounded by spectacular mountain views, the Highland Center offers the most truly unique and focused outdoor adventure in the White Mountains. Its combination of private and semi-private lodge rooms for singles, couples or families and shared hostel-style rooms are the ideal starting point for day hikes, paddling trips, snowshoe treks, and longer backcountry excursions. The education center provides daily guided programs, or go off on your own. All-inclusive packages include lodging, dinner and breakfast, free use of outdoor gear courtesy of L.L. Highland Lodge features a green design that earned it Environmental Champion status from the New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging program. Materials include recycled steel beams and reclaimed timber framing, and innovative construction techniques include an energy-efficient wood-fired heating system.

The Highland Lodge is perfect for families, featuring a choice of private rooms with private baths, phones, and wireless Internet, or private rooms with shared baths for families of up to six people. All lodge packages include family-style dinner and buffet breakfast!

Mountain

Explore New Hampshire's spectacular White Mountains through guided or self-guided programs, featuring the nearby Northern Presidentials and Mount Washington. Or, take a cross-country ski trip through the Bretton Woods. Naturalist and evening programs allow you to discover this unique area in-depth!

Nature

This is your chance to truly experience the outdoors. Daily walk-on guided programs include snowshoe instruction, animal tracking and more. Explore near the lodge at Saco Lake, Mt. Willard or the Crawford Path; or make it an overnight adventure. Cross-country and downhill skiing are available!

Hostel

Once the home of noted artist Frank H. Shapleigh, the Shapleigh Bunkhouse features hostel-style bunkrooms and a total of 16 beds, common room and showers. Enjoy all of the amenities at the Highland Center Lodge!
