Situated along the Root River, Cedar Valley Resort sits on 30 lush acres enveloped by scenic bluffs. With the 60-mile Root River Trail running through its property, there’s no better place to get outdoors and have some fun! Go fishing, canoeing and tubing on the river, or hit the trail for biking, hiking, blading and cross country skiing; the resort has rentals available. Onsite you’ll find volleyball and basketball courts, a 9-hole Frisbee golf course and two playgrounds. Retreat to one of eight spacious cabins for the evening, ranging from a deluxe eight-bedroom cabin that sleeps up to 40 to three-bedroom cabin villas. There’s plenty of room for a family reunion or group retreat!

Family

At Cedar Valley, family fun is at your fingertips! Stop by the resort’s outfitters to rent tubes, canoes and cross country skis. Then hop on the Root River Trail or float down the river; they’re both right onsite. There are also volleyball and basketball courts, a Frisbee golf course and more!

Fishing

There are bass in the Root River and poles and tackle to rent from the resort – what a perfect combination! Nearby you’ll also find 10 excellent trout streams within 20 minutes of Cedar Valley. After your day of casting in beautiful Bluff Country, a deluxe cabin is waiting for your return.

Nature

The bluffs tower above, while the river glistens along the property’s edge. Birds chirp from cabin feeders and an occasional deer or wild turkey will roam the resort’s 30 acres of lush green space. Rent a bike from the resort to ride the Root River Trail; voted the No. 1 trail in all of Minnesota.

The resort makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors by outfitting you with canoes and kayaks, tubes, bikes, shuttles and cross country skis. Whether you want to float down the Root River, bike along the acclaimed 60-mile scenic Root River trail, or just hitch a ride, Cedar Valley has you covered!

Overlooking the river and trail, eight cabins boast spacious interiors, fireplaces and full kitchens. Surrounded by lush green space and towering bluffs, these cabins range from three to eight bedrooms with room for up to 40 people. It’s the perfect setting for a reunion or group event.
