Fishing

With 50 miles of Voyageurs National Park's lake system stretched out in front of the resort, this is truly a fisherman's paradise! From northern pike and smallmouth bass to sturgeon and crappie, you are sure to reel in a keeper. Largemouth, trout and muskie can also be found on the interior lakes!

Hunting

Beginning in September, you're sure to find a hunting season to lure you in. Start with ruffed grouse or black bear, then try your luck hunting for whitetail deer. In Northern Minnesota you'll find seemingly endless acreage to explore for your trophy - no matter the season!

Lake

At Ash-Ka-Nam Resort you'll have access to five lakes in Voyageurs National Park. As the only water-based park in the National Parks System, you can bet the lake fun just goes on and on. Boats and motors are available for rent and paddleboats and canoes are yours to use for free to enjoy the water!

Nature

Here you're surrounded by nature. Soak it up with dinner on The Lodge at Ash-Ka-Nam's waterfront deck. Borrow a canoe and explore the Ash River or nearby lakes, or try the Bog Walk through Voyageurs National Park. Nearby you'll also find the International Wolf Center and North American Bear Center!
