World class flyfishing is steps away on the Roach River and drift boat trips on the nearby East Outlet of the Kennebec River and the West Branch of the Penobscot River are also available. Lake fishing is available from the docks on the nearly 8-mile long First Roach Pond. Fish for Salmon, Brook Trout, Lake Trout, and Splake. Other local ponds also hold Smallmouth Bass. Ice fishing on area lakes provides yet another way to enjoy our winter months.
