Briar Patch Inn has an unique history that dates back to the late 1800's. In 1876, the first settlers discovered the area beside Oak Creek, which was full of fruit trees, vegetables, and German Trout from the creek, and it was a little oasis between the deserts of the Red Rock mountains and Oak Creek Canyon. It wasn't until the 1930's that a German carpenter built a home in the area and ten years later created the first cottage, the Bluejay. Today, the cottage still exists with its original hand-hewn wooden door latches. Briar Patch Inn has grown since then into a quaint, unique Arizona destination. Come experience the history for yourself today!
