Centrally located in Haines Alaska--near both downtown Haines and historic Fort William H Seward--Fort Seward Lodge is renowned for its warm and friendly ambience, affordable accommodations, inviting restaurant, and popular saloon. Built in the early 1900s, this historic building formerly housed the fort's Post Exchange. It was an important part of Fort William H Seward (now an historical landmark), the then regimental headquarters for all of Alaska. The fort was deactivated in 1946 and bought by a group of veterans. We offer 10 rooms with something for everyone's budget. Each room is uniquely decorated, very clean, and all rooms are non-smoking.
