Some of the Best Fishing in Alaska!
Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge is a serious fishing lodge for serious anglers. Located in Old Harbor on Kodiak Island, this is heaven on earth for avid anglers. From trophy king salmon and some of Alaska’s largest silver salmon to halibut, black bass, cod and snapper, you won’t leave Kodiak empty handed. The 16 guests that stay at the lodge during any given week are well taken care of. Trips include shuttle service, lodging, meals, bait, tackle, rods and reels. After a day on the water, indulge in delicious cuisine and relax in the lounge trading fish stories. With at least eight hours of fishing per day, you can reel in quite a load. But never fear – the lodge processes your catch so you can continue enjoying the fruits of your labor when you get home.
All Inclusive
An all inclusive model simplifies your journey to Alaska. You’ll be picked up in Old Harbor and shuttled to the lodge, where you won’t have to worry about any of the details. Your trip includes eight hours of fishing per day, lodging, meals, fish processing and more. So just get out on the water and enjoy!
Fishing
That’s because in size and abundance, the fish here are just about as serious as you can get. This is trophy king salmon territory, but you’re also likely to reel in unbelievable silver salmon and halibut among others. For any avid fisherman, a visit to Alaska’s prosperous waters is a must-do experience.
Hunting
And there’s hunting too! The remote village of Old Harbor lies in the midst of some of the most thriving Sitka black tail deer populations in Alaska. The lodge’s fall hunting season gives sportsmen their best chance at taking a large buck. And after you’ve accomplished that, you can hunt fox, waterfowl or go fishing!
Island
Located on Kodiak Island’s Sitkalidak Straights, the lodge owns four of the six charter boats permitted to fish Old Harbor’s 450 miles of coastline. So you often fish without another boat in sight. And it gets better: These waters are protected from the elements by Sitkalidak Island, so conditions are always comfortable.
Nature
You’ll find it on Kodiak Island’s protected shores in the midst of the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge and Kodiak National Maritime Refuge. Flanked by Kodiak’s tallest mountains on one side and the water on another, the scenery here is spectacular. Enjoy the beauty of the wilderness in the utmost comfort at the lodge.
Outfitters
Their fishing excursions are fully outfitted. Upon arrival they’ll help you purchase your license, and when you get out on the water, the lodge provides everything from bait and tackle to rods, reels and rain gear. Fish processing and two fifty-pound packing boxes are included too!
