Doonbrae is a fascinating and historic Georgian house next to the bridge at Alloway, birthplace of Scotland's favourite poet, Robbie Burns. Doonbrae, built in 1810 has a garden of over 2 acres surrounding the house and going down to the River Doon. For those who prefer putting to poetry, it is located between the Troon and Turnberry golf courses.
