The Elias Child House in Connecticut's "Quiet Corner" offers guests a bucolic setting on over 40 acres of open yard, pine grove and mixed hardwood forest. Built in 1714, the house still contains twelve-over-twelve windows, many with the original wavy glass, original wide-board floors, paneling and wainscoting bearing testimony to Colonial craftsmanship.
