In the year 1897, the Semiramis Hotel was inaugurated as the first to be built on the banks of the Nile. Ninety years later, it re-established itself as Cairo's premiere hotel under the new name, Semiramis Inter-Continental. This year Semiramis Inter-Continental celebrates its 10th anniversary.
