Welcome to White Mountain

If you love the outdoors, you’ll love New Hampshire’s White Mountains region! Kancamagus Highway is a fantastic way to admire the peaks of the looming White Mountains. Probably the most famous peak, Cannon Mountain, was home to popular rock formation The Old Man of the Mountain until it naturally collapsed in 2003. Nonetheless, the site remains a popular attraction; coin-operated viewfinders allow you to see how the Old Man looked before the collapse! The highway also passes through must-see White Mountain National Forest, offering endless camping and hiking possibilities. Just off the highway lies the Russell-Colbath Historic Site, a preserved farmhouse now museum that lets you experience how 19th-century families lived off the land. Nature’s calling in the White Mountains!
