With Yale University dominating the region, it’s easy to forget there is so much more to do Central Connecticut! However, do make a point to visit the stately campus in New Haven. Ponder a Picasso at Yale University Art Gallery, wander the halls of Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, or explore the Yale Center for British Art, the largest collection of British art in America. Stay in New Haven to tour the famous Amistad schooner and enjoy a performance at the legendary Shubert Theater. Farther afield in Branford, take a cruise around the Thimble Islands, located just off the southern Connecticut coast, or drive upstate to laugh a little at the Barker Character, Comic & Cartoon Museum. So, put the books down, and have some fun in Central Connecticut!
