Welcome to Allegheny

Dominated by the thousands of acres of Allegheny National Forest, this region of the same name provides endless opportunities for any outdoor enthusiast! Inside the forest, visit the Kinzua Dam, one of America’s largest, before swimming, boating or fishing the gigantic Allegheny Reservoir. If you’re brave enough, take a leap and hang glide over spectacular Hyner View State Park. The Bucktail Trail Scenic Byway offers a view of the unspoiled Pennsylvania wild - keep an eye out for a Bald Eagle! And, keep that eye open when you visit Cherry Springs State Park. The park is considered a “dark-sky preserve,” and has some of the darkest nights in the United States, making it a haven for stargazers and astronomers alike! With this much to do, what are you waiting for?
