Located in Lake Village, Arkansas, the Saunders, Pettit, Cook, McKinzey Plantation House is one of several sites in Chicot County where historic markers have been placed. It is known as part of the "Delta" in the southeast corner of Arkansas on Highway 82 East just east of the Highway US 65 South intersection. Also just 5 miles west of the Greenville, MS river bridge. Lake Village sits on the banks of Lake Chicot. The county was formed in 1823 as the tenth county in Arkansas. This area is blessed with abundant fishing, hunting, and recreation parks.
