Lynn's Charter Fishing

If you like Charter fishing, do NOT call Lynn's. The "Fish Doctor" as she calls herself ruined the 4th of July vacation up to Door County this year for my friend and I. We had planned on getting together all year for the 4th, and I called to make reservations for charter fishing the week prior to going up. When I called and spoke with Lynn and made the reservation, I gave her my full name and cell number. I called her the day before our scheduled charter, just to confirm that we were still on, and confirm the time and place to meet with her. She said everything was still on. We decide to go to sleep early that night before, instead of staying up with our families to have fun around the campfire on our last night up there. We get up at 4:30 in the morning to meet her at the pier by 6:00am. We get to the pier, cooler of food and drinks ready for a nice 5 hour trip, and Lynn comes off her boat and tells me that she can't take us, and that she's down to one motor, and has been for that past 4 trips out.
Now, I can understand some type of difficulties with motors going out, and that's all fine. But she never once called to cancel the trip to save us from coming down there and waking up early. I asked her why, and she told me she didn't have my number. I told her I gave it to her on my reservation, and seeing I called her again less that 18 hours earlier, she was sure to have it on her cell phone also. She had no explanation. She never onceoffered an appology, not once. She did however say, you guys must really be disappointed, huh? I also asked her why she didn't tell me she was down to one motor yesterday when I called and confirmed our outing with her, since she had been down to one motor for the past 4 runs, (my guess is thats 2 days) No answer. And to top it all off, she didn't offer to refund us for the stupid fishing licenses we both had to buy either. It's only $28, but, it was icing on the cake!

So, if you want a horrible experience like my friend and I got, call Lynn. If you want to fish the great waters of Lake Michigan on a charter, call anyone else but her!!
