The French Manor Inn and Spa: Celebrating 25 Years of Unmatched Service and Luxury

For the last 25 years, The French Manor Inn and Spa has been redefining the lodging paradigm for the Pocono Region. Acquiring the property in 1990, the Logan family immediately sought to make an immediate impact on the local lodging industry. They transformed the property into a romantic country inn and one of the top lodging establishments in the region. As the Logan’s transformed the inn, they wanted to embody the pre-existing elegant nature of the inn, while providing a new standard in service and amenities. They overhauled the rooms -- bringing them to a new level of comfort and luxury -- expanded the size and capabilities of the kitchen, and added additional high-end suites in the previously unused carriage house. Recently, they built the La Maisonneuve building which features six romantic suites with fireplaces, Jacuzzi’s, and private balconies to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Brand new to the inn is Le Spa Foret, which has five high-end suites, a full service health spa, and even a fitness center. In honor of all the improvements and to celebrate their 25th year of running the property, The French Manor Inn and Spa is celebrating all year long with special events and activities.

Upon arriving at the inn, you’ll love the vistas of the surrounding wilderness. Framed by the peaks and ridges of the majestic Poconos, the views of the heavily forested landscape will leave a lasting impression. As you enter the resort, the top tier accommodations and customer service will instantly impress you. Each room is furnished and decorated in the vein of romantic luxury and inspires a feeling of relaxation as soon as you enter. You’ll find all the comforts of home, plus much more, with amenities such as fireplaces, plush linens and beds for the ultimate in comfort, Jacuzzi’s to unwind in after a fun filled day, and private balconies with stunning vistas of the landscape. The onsite restaurant has delicious culinary creations for every meal and is one of the top dining establishments in the region. Le Spa Foret features an extensive list of treatments and massages that will leave you feeling rested and rejuvenated. Regardless of your reason for visiting, The French Manor Inn and Spa provides a unique luxury experience you’ll never forget. ResortsandLodges.com got the opportuntiy to interview Bridget Logan Weber, Director of Sales and Marketing for The French Manor Inn and Spa, to talk about the property’s 25th anniversary celebration.

RAL: Tell me about the overall feel or environment at the resort?

BLW: The French Manor Inn and Spa is an enchanting stone chateau sitting atop Huckleberry Mountain in South Sterling, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. As a guest of the French Manor, you will enjoy views of the beautiful crests and ridges of the northern Pocono Mountains. We are an elegant Bed & Breakfast country inn unlike any other. Our property is  secluded and private, it’s like a secret lookout that is completely separate from the populace. Spacious, uncompromising accommodations, together with a Four Diamond restaurant and relaxing onsite spa, make The French Manor perfect for your romantic Poconos getaway.

RAL: How is your family tied to the resort.

BLW: My parents, Ron and Mary Kay Logan, purchased the French Manor in December of 1990.  Now, my sister Genevieve Reese and myself, manage the property and are co-owners along with our mother Mary Kay.  My father passed away almost four years ago.

RAL: What is the typical demographic of your patrons?

BLW: Most of our guests are couples or small girlfriend getaway groups looking for a relaxing spa retreat with a Four Diamond restaurant onsite. Our proximity to local attractions and the outdoor activities of the Poconos are also a draw. Many of our guests come from New York City, Philadelphia, and the surrounding tri-state area.

RAL: What sets the French Manor apart from other lodging rentals in the area?

BLW: The French Manor is a unique Stone Chateau Spa Retreat.  We are a lot like a Bed & Breakfast, being that we’re family owned and have 19 individually decorated accommodations. However, we also offer the luxury in our accommodations that a Four Diamond property requires such as fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, triple sheeting, private balconies with 25+ mile views, turn-down service in the evenings, room service for both breakfast and dinner, and more. The French Manor takes pride in having received this prestigious Four Diamond Award the past 13 years, for both our accommodations and restaurant.

RAL: What will people find at the resort for dining, recreation, facilities, etc?

BLW: The French Manor offers many amenities you may find at a larger resort such as our award winning restaurant, full service spa, indoor saltwater pool, hot tub and fitness room, hiking trails, complimentary snowshoeing, and more.

RAL: What does the surrounding area have to offer?

BLW: The French Manor is centrally located within the Pocono Mountains, a beautiful scenic four-county region of Northeast Pennsylvania. As a guest of the French Manor, you will enjoy views of the beautiful crests and ridges of the northern Pocono Mountains. The French Manor's location also makes it the ideal stomping ground for enjoying local state parks for hiking, biking, and boating.  Local attractions are a just a short drive from the property such as golf, horseback riding, antiquing, skiing/snowboarding, ice skating, the Pocono Raceway (Nascar), local fairs and festivals, and much more.  The French Manor partners with several local businesses to help customize our guests' getaway such as horseback riding at Mountain Creek Riding Stables, Golf at Buck Hill Golf Club, and Lift Tickets at Camelback Mountain.

RAL: What special events are included in the 25th anniversary celebration?
