“This really is a four-season resort,” said Brandon McCarter, Vice President of Operations. “We’re fortunate to be able to offer our guests so many things to do all year long, without ever having to leave the Resort. In warm weather, I find that the onsite activities such as the horseback trails, the boating, the biking and geocaching are popular with families with younger children, while older kids gravitate towards Laser Tag, tennis, swimming and bowling, and of course our signature golf. On its 4,100 acre property, The Resort at Glade Springs offers three 18-hole Championship golf courses. The courses are rated by national golf publications as West Virginia's finest course. The Leisure Center we have on the property also makes Glade Springs appealing to our ski groups in the winter who come here by the busload for a day of skiing at Winterplace, just eight miles away, and then stay with us at night. We have something fun for everyone to do indoors after a day on the slopes.”

Year-round activities stretch to the indoor laser tag, indoor pool, a bowling alley, cinema, and basketball courts. Their 12,000 square foot laser tag arena, golf, archery, and equestrian center can keep guests occupied for hours while exploring the beautiful 4,100 acre property.

After you are done working up an appetite, you can feast at one of the various restaurants located at the resort. Parties of 40 people can comfortably stay within the same house if desired at the Chestnut Hill Lodges and smaller families and couples are able to stay in the traditional rooms if preferred at the resort’s Conference Center.

“There is a reason why the state of West Virginia chose the New River Gorge for the back of its state quarter,” said Sandi Brinley, Vice President of Marketing and Revenue Management for The Resort at Glade Springs. “The New River Gorge really embodies the spirit of the West Virginia’s ‘Wild and Wonderful’ slogan. It has a rugged character that inspired the Boy Scouts of America to choose the New River Gorge area for its annual Jamboree and as the location of its newest high adventure base at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, from which The Resort at Glade Springs is just a 20 minute drive. This is a special place of spectacular natural beauty that has to be experienced to be appreciated. The Resort at Glade Springs is proud to be able to offer visitors to southern West Virginia the opportunity to experience adventures in the New River Gorge area that will keep them coming back year after year.”
