Things to do in Banff

1. Skiing and snowboarding

3. Hot Springs

One of Banff’s most popular attractions actually isn’t an outdoor adventure. It’s the calming, soothing comforts of heated waters that rejuvenate even the most wearied traveler. For over 125 years, the hot springs in Banff have drawn in vacationers from all over the world to indulge in the warmth and comfort of these mineral waters. With an average temperature between 37 to 40 degrees Celsius (98 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit), a soak in these springs are ideal at any time of the year and sure to leave you feeling better than ever. There are a variety of hot springs options in the area, but the Banff Upper Hot Springs is the most popular site. Located at the end of Mountain Avenue, this hot springs facility features a large pool, spa and cafe, and rests and an elevation of 1,585 meters for a truly unforgettable experience.

 

4. Gondolas

No matter if you’re here in the winter or summer, a gondola ride is a must on your list of things to do in Banff. The breathtaking peaks of the mountains and surrounding lush woods of the Banff National Park feel truly magical when you’re riding the Banff Gondola steadily up the side of Sulphur Mountain.
