Feel Good Inside and Out At Woodloch Resort

Woodloch Resort opens its doors year-round to families in the Pocono Mountains. Owned and operated by the Kiesendahl Family since 1958, Woodloch has been committed to its original mission to treat all guests as if they were company in their own homes. Nestled between the Delaware and Lackawaxen Rivers and near beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack, Woodloch Resort offers a variety of activities for families to partake in while vacationing in the Poconos, especially around the holidays. And once the leaves begin falling, the hotel staff begins preparing for the season of thanks. The season signifies spirited family gatherings as well as a time to be thankful and to give back. And this year, Woodloch will do just that in its own unique way.

On Saturday, November 23rd, as part of Woodloch Resort’s first-ever Record Breakers Weekend, resort guests, staff, and local community members will join together in an effort to assemble over 650 packages hunger relief packages in under three minutes in attempt to beat the current Guinness World Record. The event, which has been coined “Breaking Hunger, Breaking Records,” gives guests and staff the opportunity to help those in need. The packages will be donated to a number of local food banks that provide assistance to thousands of people in the resort’s surrounding area. Additionally, Record Breakers Weekend is chocked full with horse races, games, and competitions to keep the adrenaline rushing while giving back to the community.

“Sadly, many of those less fortunate cannot look forward to a decent holiday meal. Woodloch has always felt strongly that the community is as much a part of the family as, well, the family. For the past 55 years that we have been in business, we have always strived to give back and make a difference, and we wanted to do something extra special this year," said John Kiesendahl, owner and CEO of Woodloch Resort. "Assembling hunger relief packages as a community effort is a great way bring people together in order to give back to our area so positively. We feel good knowing that these packages will benefit those who need it most in our local region,” Kiesendahl said.

Relax and enjoy a vacation, and feel good at the same time, during Woodloch Resort’s Record Breakers Weekend. Help create history while making a difference.
