Long beyond the days of its debut crowd of 50,000, now the Bayfest music festival crowd has exploded into a mob of 200,000 strong. They have come to dance, to sing, and to be merry; they’ve come to see more than 125 musical acts surge across nine stages throughout this monumental weekend. Nonstop music bends the air, appeasing those of all tastes with rock, rap, jazz, alternative, R&B, and even gospel genres. Past artists from Bayfest include the likes of Motley Crew, Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock, Duran Duran, and Nelly, and this year’s line-up is just as impressive.

  •        Early October, annually
  •        Mobile, Alabama
  •        $60 weekend; $40 day

Join the masses of waving hands if you want to hear the likes of T.I. delivering elaborately rhyming rap verses as he walks on the Miller Lite/Wind Creek Casino Stage in ultimate swagger. Drop by the AT&T/Southern Ford Dealers Stage on Saturday to resonate with Irene Kelley’s iconic mash-up of Americana, bluegrass and country tones. The entire weekend is family friendly, so don’t hesitate to bring your little head-bobbers to this harmonious festival. The weekend is packed with fun activities for them. They will have the chance to meet the hilarious Captain Jack Sparrow, and cross paths with the mysterious Mad Hatter. Uncle Joe’s Rolling Zoo is a heap of fun, and the Mobile Museum of Art is a great place for them to express their unending creativity. Grab the whole family, and jam out to Bayfest this year.
