Austin Celtic Festival: A Unique Celtic Experience in the Heart of Texas

Austin, Texas, may be known as the Live Music Capital of the World, but that’s not all you’ll find in this fantastic vacation destination. The city has something for every visitor including restaurants, art galleries, attractions, and festivals.

The Austin Celtic Festival has been a mainstay in the community for 20 years, and organizers are expecting 5,000 people in attendance. The event is the largest Celtic-themed event in Central Texas, and attendees come from all over the state and region. Attendees will find a wide selection of Celtic activities including live music, dancing, workshops, classes, and more. The Festival will host a Highland Games, where patrons can compete in traditional Celtic events like a caber toss and heavy games. A wide selection of food options will be available including everything from festival fare to local BBQ. Set your next Austin adventure apart from the rest and spend the entire weekend at the Austin Celtic Festival. We got the opportunity to interview Festival Director, E. D. McKaskle, to talk about this unique celebration of Celtic heritage.
