Heading strong into their 14th year, the Aspen Arts Festival is one of the top art themed events in the entire region. This event aims to give partons the one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience a variety of disciplines of art, all in beautiful downtown Aspen. This year’s festival will include over 200 artists from all different parts of America. This festival is great for couples, families and anybody interested in art and culture. RAL: Tell me a little bit about the event.

AR: The festival is now in it’s 14th year. We jury approximately 200 artists, from as many as 30 different states, into this show each year. We are expecting a few thousand people in attendance. This is the perfect event to experience beautiful Aspen and a range of unique art from multiple disciplines.

 

RAL: What is the typical demographic makeup of the event? Children? Families? Couples?

AR: Locals and tourists attend the festival. It appeals to families as well as art enthusiasts and collectors.

 

RAL: What makes this event unique?

AR: The festival is free and open to the public. The exhibitors are juried into the show, allowing

us to provide a superior event featuring diverse art media and the highest quality of original handmade art. All of the artists are onsite for the duration of the fair. They welcome the opportunity to discuss their art, techniques, and even accept special commissions for new work. This is a wonderful opportunity for festival patrons to explore the work of many different.

 

RAL: What can attendees expect to find for activities at the festival?

AR: It’s all about the art and the artists. It is an outdoor street festival with eclectic displays where patrons can leisurely explore the unique creations of many artists from throughout the United States, all in one location.

 

RAL: What food options will there be?

AR: Festival type food and beverages are available onsite at the show, but the downtown area

offers dozens of wonderful dining options as well.

 

RAL: What is the overall environment like?

AR: Aspen is a wonderful backdrop for the festival; it is an art showcase similar to a gallery but outdoors, family friendly and very casual.

 

RAL: Does this drive business to your local economy?

AR: Yes, many of the exhibitors will stay at the local hotels and frequent the many restaurants in the area, as do the festival patrons that attend the show.

 

RAL: Does the event support any causes in the community?

AR: Yes, some of the proceeds go to The Aspen Chamber of Commerce.

 

RAL: Why should people come to your event?

AR: Aspen is a wonderful destination and this is the city’s premier summer art festival. The eclectic displays will feature a wide array of original artwork in different styles and media with

broad appeal, truly something for all tastes and budgets.
